After our brief but enjoyable escape from hibernation over the weekend to play two shows with The Kanyu Tree and Bipolar Empire respectively, we’re back in the warm surroundings of our writing room.

Big thanks to everyone who came out and danced, sang (and moshed) in Dolans and Whelans. It was an extremely nice break from writing.

But we’re back now, putting together loads of material for what will be our second record. Its been a very different experience to writing the first but the results are way above what we’d even hoped for.

We can’t wait to start playing them live so that you can hopefully enjoy them as much as us.

On the gig front, we will be back out on the road at the beginning of October  with a few dates including a show in the Grand Social as part of Hard Working Class Heroes 2011.

Thanks to those who came out to see us in The Button Factory last Thursday night, it was alot of fun.

Now that HWCH heroes has been and gone for another year, we’ll be adding some new dates shortly, so check them out and hope to see you at them.

Firstly we’re excited to announce that our debut album will be released on May 07th. The album itself will be called ‘Light Shape Sound‘ and the first single released from the album is called ‘Fit For Love‘ and that’s out on March 26th. The whole writing and recording process was a hectic yet rewarding time for us and with the help of studio maestro Ciaran Bradshaw we produced a record that we’re extremely proud and excited about.

‘Light Shape Sound‘ will be in all good record stores as well as the usual online haunts (thanks to RMG) and ‘Entertainment Architects‘ will be handling the PR side of things, so things are slowly butsurely falling into place.

Other that this years HWCH Festival where we showcased the new material for the first time, we’ve been pretty much lying low as far as gigging goes and as you’d guess, with an album release comes an album tour and we’ll be announcing tour dates soon…one gig we can announce is the album launch gig which takes place in Andrews Lane Theatre on May 07th, we have a few surprises lined up so make sure you stick it in the diary!!!

Lastly for now, you’ll probably notice that Miracle Bell are now a three piece. Unfortunately Tom who was with the band from the start and remains a close friend could not commit the time needed to make a good go at this, but we were delighted that he decided to stay on board until the album was recorded as he is an immense bassist, and for that we are extremely grateful.
